Job Mission

The IT Technical License Manager will play a key role in supporting our license pool of over 175 active license services via our Floating License environment. This role would involve intimate knowledge of Floating License Manager Applications (Mainly FLEXlm/FlexNet/RLM/LM-X/Sentinel). The Technical License managers contribute directly to the success of ASML and maintaining our leading position in the industry by managing the availability and continuity of the licenses of our most important applications in use by our Research and Development division.

Job Description

We are looking for a Mid-level to Senior-level Technical License manager with Floating License Server Application knowledge and experience.
The ASML Technical License Managers manages the global Floating License server landscape hosted on Linux and Windows. The global Floating License infrastructure frame work is primarily built on Linux servers including configuration management and deployment with Ansible, monitoring, reporting tools, web based license portal and configuration applications.
In an operational capacity the role will involve the day-to-day management, including troubleshooting, of the Floating License Server landscape providing first, second and third-line support. Also the on-boarding of new applications to the Floating License server landscape is included in the operational role.
In an development capacity, you will be tasked with driving continuous improvements – seeking to improve end-user efficiency by increasing application availability, solver solution reliability and to seek opportunities for job turn-around-time (TAT) reduction.
We expect that you have excellent communication skills and must be a good team player. Should be able to communicate effectively with individuals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.And should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will be closely working with our IT License Managers, and SAM outsourced partner,who are responsible for managing the demand, initiating purchase requisitions and manage the timely receiving of the floating licenses files.

Location & working hours

We have adapted a hybrid working environment; alternating between working from home with working on location in Veldhoven. We are also looking for somebody who is willing to work incidentally outside office hours due to the global presence of the team.

Educational requirements
You have a degree in computer science or equivalent relevant work experience in related field.

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience with managing availability and continuity of a global Enterprise License Manager Landscape.
  • Experience managing a FLEXlm / Flexera landscape.
  • Experience in managing the above in a hybrid environment with both Linux and Windows backends.
  • Strong skills in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
  • General Windows System Administration
  • Python/PHP/Shell Scripting in Linux and Windows

Desirable skills and experience

  • Web hosting and design
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and core technologies, such as routing, HTTP, DNS, Firewall rules, etc
  • Automation tooling Ansible
  • Knowledgeable about the basics of Scrum / Agile way of working
  • Git/Gitlab
  • Excellent English communication skills;

Context

The importance of Software is growing and is more and more providing the “competitive edge”.The ASML License Management or SAM team has a global responsibility regarding license compliancy. Software Asset Management deals with approx. 200 suppliers, out of which top 10 suppliers cover 60% of the yearly spend. The SAM team has made a shift from operational to tactical SAM and from technology orientation to service-oriented.
